Greetings and Welcome to the Queens Chapter! On behalf of the Executive Board, Members, Associates, Father's Auxiliary, and Children of Queens Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., I am honored to welcome you to our chapter website. We are thrilled you are interested in learning more about our chapter and we welcome the opportunity to share the incredible programming we do for our children. Our 2024–2025 chapter theme is "Rising to Excellence". As a chapter, we will continue to bond relationships, brand ourselves in the Queens Community, build partnerships, and bridge the technology gap. It is my esteemed pleasure to serve as President and I am excited to continue our legacy in this wonderful organization.
With a rich history of excellence for over 70 years, the Queens Chapter, otherwise known as the "Queens of Queens", was chartered in 1952 under the guidance of Mother Emilie Pickens who served as Jack and Jill of America's first National Vice President and second National President. Our chapter embodies the spirit of Mrs. Pickens' vision as an organization of dedicated mothers who seek to impart constructive cultural, educational, civic, health, and social/recreational programming that stimulates growth and development in our African American children. In accordance with the National Thrusts, we strive to develop future leaders year after year through outstanding programming, community service, legislative advocacy, and philanthropy.
As the first-place award-winning National Best of the Best in Cultural Programming Chapter, we strive to empower families for success. I look forward to sharing our collective talents and resources to develop powerful programming that addresses the unique challenges that impact our African American youth. In Queens Chapter, our goal is to provide educational opportunities that ensure every member and child understands Jack and Jill of America, Inc.'s mission, programmatic thrusts, governing documents, and philanthropic ideals. We collectively have The Power to Make a Difference for All Children. On Mission. On Purpose.
I look forward to continuing our Queens Chapter legacy of rising to excellence in all we do. We, the Queens Chapter will keep rising to the top.
Long Live Jack and Jill!
